It’s harder than you think to get a shot like this during peak-cherry blossom weekends. I got lucky while I was on a run and snapped this just before a mob of tourists over-ran the sidewalk (and me) to get the same shot.
I’ll need to re-try this on a sunny day if I can. The green of the grass contrasts in an amazing way with the primary colors of the trains.
Back home for a day or two, saw some old friends.
I took the original photo a few weeks ago, digitally manipulated it and sent it off to a print shop to be printed on fine art paper. Here is the finished product tinted with acrylic paint.

I love trains, they’re the epitome of industrial. The grit and grime combined with graffiti make them a favorite for me. These shots were taken recently in Albany Oregon.
